Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. Her reporting of the ineffective police response towards DUI cases in Charleston led to an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from her colleagues at the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. O'Dell was then employed by the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. As well as her role as anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also a contributor to NBC News' Today and also contributes to Dateline NBC. She co-hosted several of Pre-ShowArrivals programs to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. She co-hosted both The Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
